In winter, my skin gets so dry, so I tend to experiment a bit more with lip and eye products than face products. My favourite look for lips in the holiday season is definitely the traditional 'berry lips'. From reds to purples I really think it adds a warmth to your face and it looks so festive.
My grandma has bought me MAC Rebel for Christmas and I LOVE that shade, but until the 25th, my drugstore favourites will have to suffice haha :)
So my 5 most used lip products these past few months have been;
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Crush
This is the perfect purple berry shade and it has a very very subtle gold shimmer so it adds a warmth to the face. The product itself is very unique in texture, being creamy and moisturising like a lip balm, but gives the lip a plumped up stained look that lasts for hours! You get a lot of product for £7.99 and the tube is retractable so you don't have to worry about sharpening because it is a 'pencil' product. It is the perfect dupe for the Clinique chubby stick and it smells like peppermint too! :)
Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry
These babies (no pun intended) are perhaps one of the most raved/hyped about products on the internet and beauty community but I completely understand why! I have the cherry, mint and pink punch flavour but this one is definitely my favourite. They provide long lasting moisture and they are the perfect 'no mirror needed' product, just a quick swipe and you are good to go. This red colour gives a lovely stained flush look but can also be built up in to more of a standard 'red lip'. They are only £2.99 as well I believe so an absolute bargain! It smells AMAZIGN too!
Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter Peach Parfait
Sorry the picture doesn't really do the colour justice because I didn't realise until it was dark that the focus was on the packaging oops :( there will be swatches below so look out for them. I love this product because you don't need a mirror to apply them, but they look like you've made an effort haha! I don't usually gravitate towards peach shades, but since I dyed my hair brunette, I have really liked this shade on me. It's not too orangey at all so don't let the packaging put you off. It is more of a peachy toned nude with lots of gold shimmer so it's perfect for the festive season.
Topshop Lipstick Called Up
I'm nearly out of this gorgeous lipstick *sobs hysterically* but not to fret because I have MAC Rebel to look forward to opening on Christmas Day and they are pretty much dupes in the colour department, but not texture. This Topshop shade has a satin and almost matte finish which is lovely, but can cause dry lips and needs maintainance :( such a great colour to wear out, but if you're going to wear it every day, make sure you have a pocket mirror on you! But the colour stains your lips (in a good way) and can be built up for a more full on look, or dapped on the finger then reapplied for a more plump, flushed look.
Kate Moss Rimmel Matte Lipstick 107
Again, another very hyped about product but it really is a lovely lipstick, I'm already on my third tube! It's a berry shade that is more in the red family than purple, but still dark and vampy! It has a strange, but not bad scent of poperie and old lady floral scents haha. It has a lovely matte finish so really adds a bit of 'something something' to a simple winter look. I like to wear it with a monochrome outfit, winged liner and a berry coloured scarf.

Topshop Called Up// Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Crush// Revlon Lip Butter Peach Parfait// Kate Moss Rimmel 107// Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry
After a bit of vigarous rubbing with a makeup wipe, you can be that the Kate Moss and Topshop lipsticks are still pretty visable and so it the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain!
So I hope this post helped anyone who is looking for some new lip products- I tried to include a range of textures and finishes and they are all £8 or less so very affordable.
What are your favourite lip products for winter?
