Lazy Day Post #3

It's been 3 weeks since I've done my last lazy day post (oops) but due to Christmas, new years, eating 10x my own body weight etc etc, I haven't been doing very much interesting stuff to tell you about. But with the holiday season over and school term beginning again, I have some cool stuff I want to talk to you all about.

Craft by Lou Teasdale
Words cannot describe how excited I am for the release of this DIY book in April. As I'm sure many of you know, Lou is my absolute idol, I just think she's perfect in every way, shape and form and I am constantly inspired by her hair, makeup, fashion and life in general. So I'm sure you can imagine how extatic I was when I heard she was releasing a book about all of her industry tips! It's available to buy in April but you can pre-order it on Amazon now for about £11 I think! (Mum, if you're reading this, my birthday is in a month remember hint hint ;) ) and aparently Gemma Styles models in it too- what could be better?!

On the 12th Day of Christmas

Hi everyone! It's officially the end of blogmas now and I'm actually so surprised I managed to blog everyday for 25 days haha! I've had such a great time coming up with different post ideas, but don't worry, this doesn't mean the end of my non-stop blogging :P

I have some topics I want to chat to you about and keep you informed in some of my exciting announcements! :D

Merry Christmas
So it's Christmas Eve right now in England so merry Christmas to all my readers and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you're enjoying a bit of time off school or work :) after the almost compulsory Christmas haul, I will be doing my regular beauty posts as normal.

Pageviews Milestone
I am still in shock that I've had over 5,000 in 2 and a half months, it's so crazy but I'm so happy! The feedback I get from you guys always brightens up my day and I am so appreciative of everything you do for me- so thank you!

New Years Giveaway
So this might be THE most exciting thing I have to announce; towards the end of January, I will be holding my own giveaway! I have received lots of free products from various companies (which I am so, so grateful for!) and will be picking up some goodies in the January sales too ;) I'm starting to get a big hamper put together and the giveaway will be hosted on my Instagram jessgray7 so keep a lookout for that! It will be UK entries only I'm afraid, but hopefully, later on in the year I will be hosting a world-wide giveaway for anyone to enter :)

Guest Posts
I have collaborated with Casey from a Topsy Turvy Blog in doing some amazing posts on each other's blogs and I have more to come from her so I hope you are enjoying them! :) I also am working with my lovely friend Zoe from Undeneath the Cherry Blossom to get some guest posts done for the New Years so get excited for them! :D

I would LOVE to work with some of you guys doing guest posts or interviews so check out my Contact Me page for more details on where to find me if you're interested :)

TAG Beauty Talk
About 3 weeks ago, I set up my own tag called 'TAG Beauty Talk' and my friends Alice from t4inted beauty and Jamie and Abbie from Schosh Girls where the first to answer it! I also have some of my favourite responses posted on the TAG Beauty Talk page (you can find it at the top of my blog!) I have been overwhelmed with people getting in contact with me to answer the tag over twitter, instagram and my blog and I appreciate it so much! So what I'm trying to say is.. THANK YOU to anyone who has taken the time to answer the questions in my tag.

I tag you all to give it a go and send me your responses! :)
(all the details are listed on the tag page)

Making Makeup Friends
Finally, I just want to talk about the amazing opportunities writing this blog has given me. For starters, I have made so many friends who have the same interests as me that I just don't have in school. It really means so much to me when you give me praise for my work as I am an aspiring journalist, so literally every time I receive feedback, or someone views my blog or compliments me, it means the world!

So, sorry for being so soppy haha! I hope you all enjoy the holidays and you can look forward to some exciting stuff in the New Years!

So much love for all of you guys!

The Lazy Day Post #2

I did a lazy day post 2 Sundays ago and it seemed to be quite popular in terms of page views so I was thinking I might make it a weekly thing? Just a general sum up of the week, what I've been eating, watching, wearing, doing and a bit of a chit chat?

I've had a pretty good week, it's been a little stressful for Christmas shopping but I'm all done now so I can really start to enjoy the festivities that come with this time of year. I only have 5 days left at school this year (thank god). Normally, my 6th form term is 6 weeks, but we have been at school for 8 weeks and I am so tired :( there are some great things coming up this week at school that I'm looking forward to like the carol concert at the church and the school talent show!

Right, so to begin with, my star purchase this week has been the Soap and Glory Yule Monty obviously! Down from £60 to £27 for 10 of their best selling products in full size AND samples AND a £5 voucher AND a beautiful Johnathan Sauders designer box?! You honestly can't go wrong with this bargain so I would definitely recommend picking up your own box before they sell out because they're going pretty fast; there was a huge queue at my local Boots yesterday. I have never really tried many Soap and Glory products before but I used the Sugar Crush body wash this morning and I can't even describe how amazing it smells!! :D

If you live in the UK and don't already own a pair of Primark Super Cosy Tights then what are you even doing with your life?! They are an absolute steal at just £3.50 a pair and they are perfect for cold weather. They are completely opaque and just look like normal, denier tights but they are fleece lined inside, hence the name 'super cosy' :P they slip on your legs so easily and you don't need to keep pulling them up all day like regular tights either, which is always a pain. I love them because they keep your legs warm all day and you don't have to worry about them laddering!

Something else that happened this week that I thought was pretty exciting was that I got tweeted by one of my favourite youtubers and bloggers, Anna from Viviannadoesmakeup! I got way too over excited but I'm new to this whole twitter thing so I thought it was pretty cool :p her blog is amazing and I have been watching her videos for like 2 years now and it's great to see how successful she has become :)

This week was also quite stressful because I have had my room redecorated, I had my old, grubby carpet taken up and replaced with a lovely, laminate floor and I've moved my furniture around too, put up a few new posters and fairy lights and had a general tidy up in my bedroom. This meant that my room was an absolute tip for most of the week, but it's finally all done and I will have a bedroom tour up sometime in the week!

Hope you've all had a really lovely weekend and I can't wait to share some of my new posts with you in the week!
